    MySQL + Custom queries + LIMIT 0

I have question about LIMIT 0 queries that Tableau sends to MySQL when I use custom queries as datasource. My understanding that it does to check fields datatypes. The issue is that a query can contain UNIONS or SUB-SELECTs. Thus LIMIT 0 will just double running time of already long running report due to nature of MySQL. Is there any way how I can improve Tableau behavior in this case and eliminate the extra step?
