Using Path Shelf for From-To Pattern Analysis with autogenerated Lat/Longs.

      I'm looking at: http://kb.tableausoftware.com/articles/knowledgebase/using-path-shelf-pattern-analysis

What I have is a little diferent, but I can't figure out how to make it work for me.

I have the following information in my custom sql query on excel.

      SELECT

        [ship$].[startLoc] AS [Location],

        1 AS [PATHORDER],

        [ship$].[startLoc] + "-" + [ship$].[endLoc] AS [ROUTE],

        [ship$].[startTime] AS [startTime],

      FROM [ship$]

      UNION ALL

      SELECT

        [ship$].[endLoc] AS [Location],

        2 AS [PATHORDER],

        [ship$].[startLoc] + "-" + [ship$].[endLoc] AS [ROUTE],

        [ship$].[startTime] AS [startTime],

      FROM [ship$]

      startTime is a Date

      Location is a Country

I double click Location and it generates a map with all of the locations and the Columns shows Longitude (generated) and the Rows shows Latitude (generated).  I filter out irrelevant locations.  I then put ROUTE in Level of Detail, and change the Marks to Line.  I see a set of lines going everywhichway.  The example states to add the PATHORDER to the Path, but when I do this I do not see lines anymore.

      What is going on here?
