Hi Akhil,
Which version of Tableau Desktop are you using? If you're using 7.0 +, go to Map on the main menu and select Edit Locations, and change the Country to China. Then, all the Provinces should be recognized, the only one that was not when I tried connecting to your Excel sheet was Inner Mongolia. However, just type in Nei Mongol under matching location, and it will show up in the correct spot.
Hope this helps!

Akhil Gupta Jul 5, 2012 10:12 PM (in response to Tracy Rodgers)Hi Tracy,
Thanks for the response. Am using Tableau 6.1. This version also allows me to change the country and map provinces
but the main problem am facing is with getting the boundaries of these provinces along with the bubbles for any metric in one map.
Do i need to change any other map settings for getting both simultaneously?
Thanks
Akhil

Hi Akhil,
I believe what you are referring to are filled maps. Filled maps are not natively available to Tableau in version 6.1--however, 7.0 they are. It is possibly to use polygons to get the desired effect, although it is a little more manual:

Hope this helps!
