Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you can't get rid of this watermark. When I inquired about this, explaining that one map credit would be fine with me, but since I had 11 maps in a single dashboard I thought having 11 credits might be a wee bit of over-kill. Tableau's response at the time was, "Use your own WMS service!"
OK, I understand that there are obviously contractual agreements between the 3-party mapping service & Tableau. I get that, but is there any chance that you could amend the contract to allow Tableau users to produce vizzes that weren't trying to sell services to folks that will never buy mapping services and really don't care? They really just care how the end product looks. Tableau, don't you get that?
Please, let us produce 'elegant' vizzes, not legally correct ones!
I relinquish my soap box.
Thank you for the prompt reply. Yeah, it is not good news. It is really eye-bugging to see this line repeating under each map. At this point, I guess there is no choice but just go with it.
Well, good luck to all those "use your own WMS service" people.
Hi, Shawn: I found a semi-solution. On the "Map” tab, you can choose "offline" mode and the watermark seems disappear. -Li
