Creating dimensions using claculated fields based on data in two columns?

I am trying to work around some poorly structured data and could use some help creating the calculated fields that might fix my issue.

I have two columns in my data:

DIMENSIONNAME - Contains the name of the dimensions

DIMMEMBERNAME - Contains all of the possible values that belong to each of the dimensions in the column above

As an example, if I created a hierarchy of DIMMEMBERNAME under DIMMENSIONNAME, it would look like this:

      DIMENSIONNAME          DIMMEMBERNAME

      State

                                              MA

                                              CT

                                              VT

                                              CA

                                              AZ

      Company

                                             Home Depot

                                              Lowes

                                              Walmart

I am hoping to create a State Map visualization, using Pie wedges, where the Company represents the color of the wedges and the angle is represented by one of the measures.  Since these two dimensions are stuffed into a single dimension, I think I would have to use a calculated field to create a two new dimensions "State" and "Company".

Does anyone know how I could create a calculated field that would extract this information, or point me in the right direction?

      Thanks!
