    Multiple response analysis in Tableau

Here's something that's puzzling me as to how to do it in Tableau. Its called a multiple response analysis and is common for open ended questions in surveys. For example lets say I ask "What type of weeds do you have in your garden?" and in the questionnaire I allow up to four weeds to be described per person. The data looks like...

      ID     Weed1     Weed2     Weed3     Weed4

      1          Hops        Couch

      2         Couch       Possy       Rats     Grace

      3            Twin         Hops

      4               ...          ....          ....

      5               ....

      6               ....

The ID is the respondent of survey number which needs to be retained as it is used as a filter in other analyses. The question is how can Tableau collapse the four response variables into essentially one. Reshaping the data using the Tableau tool is problematic as there will be multiple respondent IDs which are valid and count distinct wont work.

      Any ideas?
