How to pass "all" as a URL parameter?

I have a dashboard that is being used by many different groups of customers. I am passing hierarchical parameters about different product types, but I'm encountering an error where it seems that some parameters are maintaining their value from previous views if they are not explicitly reset. Here's an example:

      Paramaters:

      -Gender

      -Name

      -Birthday

If I pass only "Gender=Male", I want to see a list of all the males. But I have some pages where I want to data for men with a certain name, so I pass "Gender=Male&Name=John". This works great -- until I go back to the page where only "Gender=Male" is passed, and I'm still only seeing values for John.

Is there a way to pass the "All" value for a parameter? For example, "Gender=Male&Name=All&Birthday=All"?
