How can I ignore global filter in a dashboard or in a data?

    Kenneth Ho

      Hi,

I have a dashboard that will filter out count of jobs for me.  I have 2 more tabs, A is count base on filter, and B is total count.  I am trying to have the 3rd tab that will run calculation of A divided by B count.  I am having problem running this calculation because every time the filter runs, my calculation will change.  However my B count won't change because I have changed the box to no action when change around the filter.  Please advice what I can do.  Thanks

The other guys might have a more elegant solution, but in the past what I've done is make a copy of the file (not in Tableau, in Windows Explorer) call it Phase Report-2 or something. Then you can establish a new connection to this file and the two connections will be mutually exclusive, even though the contain the exact same data. Just be careful not to mix them or a link might get established. Also you'll need to remember to update both whenever the data changes.
