    Setting Measure Names filter in Tableau Server URL

      I have a view which uses Measure Names as one of the row headers. I'd like to be able to set which measures are displayed by entering their names in the URL... in the same way that you can set filters on other dimensions. There's a great KB article on how to do this for regular dimensions here:

          http://kb.tableausoftware.com/articles/knowledgebase/view-filters-url

      The basic idea is that you can set a filter for a dimension like this:

      http://servername/views/CoffeeSales/SalesPerformance?Sales%20Market=Far%20West

      Unfortunately when I try to do this with Measure Names, I get the following error

      Error

      Vizql::TableauException

      Details

      Invalid input: expected '['

      Request ID: TwyNDgp64McAABYEt5gAAAAv

      I saw the "expected '[' ", so I tried it again but I put the measure name in brackets:

      http://servername/views/CoffeeSales/SalesPerformance?Measure%20Name=[measurename]

      Unfortunately this generated a different error:

      Sorry, the view you were looking for does not exist, or you do not have permission to see that view.

      Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or is this a gap in Tableau Server functionality?
