Is this in Desktop only, in Server only, or both?
When you use a SHEET as a navigation button, clicking once selects it and runs any action associated with it. But the sheet stays in "selected" mode. To use is again, you have to click to unselect it, then click again to select it.
Can you use a button instead? Are you on a version of Desktop that has the new Dashboard Button control?
Using the button fixes that behavior on Server; on Desktop, you have to hold the ALT key and click on the button to activate it.
Thank you for your answer. My tableau server version is 2018.1 and my tableau desktop version is 2019.2.
When I publish the dashboard, I cannot see the buttons on the server. Any other way to show the buttons?
It won't navigate while in the normal view unless you press Alt & click. If you enter presentation mode then click, it should navigate straight away.
Since your server is on an earlier version of Tableau however, these won't work once you publish the workbook. You'll need to either get the server upgraded to version 2018.3 or later, or use your original filter action buttons.
