Hi
you attached a twb file that does not include data - needs to be a twbx
but I can see the long and lat are pinned - unpin them and the map should zoom

1 of 1 people found this helpfulHi Treala,
You attached a .twb instead of a .twbx. Need to post a .twbx to help you. Have you tried changing the map from Filled Map to Automatic using the drop-down in the Marks Card? Are those POINTS as a .shp file? Best, Don

YOu need to extract the data before you attach it - I see that you have a shape file -that is creating the map - shape files have several files that are referenced (even though you only load the shp file as a spatial file)

1 of 1 people found this helpfulHi Jim and Treala,
Not sure what's happening with the .twbx data as it appears that data set is behaving DIFFERENT from the actual spatial (London Wards ESRI) files.
So there's something different there that's causing the issue that you're both seeing in the .twbx.
Treala, if the goal is simply to get to the London Wards and Boroughs map, why not just use the .shp file London Ward City Merged? You'll get this:
The followup question is what are you trying to join to it for spatial analysis; that's where the problem seems to be? What's the source of the data for 'buildings'? What are you trying to merge or bring in against the map? Best, Don

Hi Treala,
I'm not sure what set of data you're using on your end, but your screenshot doesn't match the set of data that was posted to the forums for the .shp file. All of your Dimensions and Measures are in CAPITALS and the data posted to the forums are in Proper Case.
So I think you might be using some corrupted data or your .shp file folder is missing some of the supporting files needed for the .shp file.
If you were to go to the ESRI folder for London Wards City Merged, then open that folder and find the .shp file. Right-Click and select open with, then find Tableau. Thereafter, bring Geometry over Marks Card. I've attached 2019.2 version using 2014 ESRI London City Merged.
Not sure what version you're on? Best, Don
