Sarah, what version are you using? is it the actual product called "Tableau Online", or is it Tableau Server? if it's Server, what version number (10.5? 2019.1?)
Functionality can be substantially different between versions.
The Online Help system has lots of good info about adding images to Projects.
We have Tableau Server 2018.3.

In the top navigation bar, you should see something like this:
That allows your users one-click access to the 4 views of the content. Is that not visible?
You can then click on your account settings link (the white circle with "MG" in it) way over on the right and reset the default view to start on whichever of those selections you want, though:
2019.1 and later versions have a completely different navigation metaphor:
You can do the same thing with your account settings to make the selected view sticky here, too.
