Eric Marowitz Jan 24, 2018 7:59 AM (in response to Davina King)I have the same issue in my 10.3.6 workbook - Like Davina, the only thing that worked was to "Restore to Defaults" my workbook level font assignment and then assign the clients font at the sheet level.

Daniel.Walczak Nov 30, 2018 2:36 PM (in response to swaroop.gantela)swaroop.gantela This was it for me - some of the text was right on the edge of the bar so when I enlarged the bar size and the text fit clearly inside the bar, the label adjusted as expected again. Thank you!

ryan richards Dec 3, 2018 2:15 PM (in response to Joan Dalpe)Clearing worksheet defaults works but a pain to redo. I'd call this a bug that the font automatic setting won't override.

22. Re: Default label font colors has mind of its own
Rafael Schaffer Dec 5, 2018 11:20 AM (in response to ryan richards)I think this is a bug indeed, because in some situations clearing formatting doesn't solve it, neither the cell size nor any other solution people came up in this post...
Anyone motivated to create an incident with Tableau Support?

23. Re: Default label font colors has mind of its own
Daniel.Walczak Dec 5, 2018 11:30 AM (in response to Joan Dalpe)This might be known, but caught me off guard: When Show Mark Labels is checked, it follows the color and font pattern outline on the Marks Card... but if that is unchecked and you right-click a given mark and select Mark Label > "Always Show" then if follows the font settings of the measure or dimension it's associated with.

Patricia Santillan Mar 18, 2019 8:59 AM (in response to Joan Dalpe)Here is another "solution". Instead of using the color legend to adjust the colors, right mouse click on the dimension itself and set the default colors. This keeps the smart label coloring for me but allows me to change the colors.
