I guess that is your PC memory issue, insufficient memory or something like that.
Close and re-open Tableau, or reboot you PC will fix?
Thanks,

Also you can try with taking an extract of your data source then try to export. Good think is still you'll be able to export in v10.5
Give a try and let us know if this help.

Vikram Philar Feb 5, 2019 10:30 PM (in response to Shinichiro Murakami)I have 32gigs of RAM and 500GB storage. So, I doubt the issue would be related to shortage of resources.

sajad.bhat Feb 5, 2019 10:56 PM (in response to Vikram Philar)Hi Vikram,
You can try to export to downgraded version with limit machine memory by limiting the data as extract, and then do full refresh/live in downgraded version. Either create empty extract or restrict the vol of data as extract.
Let me know if that helps.

Can you do one thing? Replace your source in the workbook with .hyper extract and check.
Else close the workbook and relaunch the application once and check.
Are you able to save the workbook?

Vikram Philar Feb 6, 2019 12:33 AM (in response to sajad.bhat)My input file contains just 3 rows and 3 columns. Any reason why I would need to limit machine memory for exporting to a lower version?

Vikram Philar Feb 6, 2019 12:38 AM (in response to Mahfooj Khan)I replaced excel input file with the extract file. Saved and closed the file. Re-opened the file and tried exporting. I face the same problem.

Try this:
Go to the Help menu item, select Settings and Performance and uncheck Enable Accelerated Graphics.
Might not make any difference but sometimes that clears up these kinds of odd display issues.
You might also make sure you are on the most current version of the driver for your graphics hardware.
