+ Could you provide more detailed such as this is a fresh install or upgrade Tableau Server?
+ What is the version that you install?
+ What is the username for UID 1003?
+ Have you checked in System logs below.
+ Have you tried to run "initialization-tsm " with debug option?
Support case is the way to go, my experience has been that there's lot of little bugs/holes/lack of accurate documentation in the Linux versions thus far.
Not sure if it's the same issue, but I recall getting a similar error when I uninstalled the yum package and tried to re-install it / run the initialise again.
Ended up running the obliterate script in /var/tmp/ and doing a clean install...….not ideal but that did fix the issue in my case.

can you run yum update and run the initialize command line after?
This worked for me!
What are you talking about?
My first acquaintance with Tableu began with the negative.
I'm installed Tableu, acting on the instructions of: Install and Initialize TSM - Tableau
And I have errror:
[root@server-tableau1 scripts.20183.18.1214.0808]# ./initialize-tsm --accepteula
Creating directories and setting permissions...
Using '/var/opt/tableau/tableau_server' as the data directory.
Adding user 'user' to group 'tableau'...
Adding user 'user' to group 'tsmadmin'...
Added. Note: These group membership changes do not take effect in shells already open. For these to take effect, log out of the shell and log back in.
systemd unit user@496 is not running. Check /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog.
Cannot continue installation. Please contact Tableau Support.
What am I supposed to do with it? It is fresh install
