I just gave it a go and had some success embedding a tableau public viz - I added a tab to an existing channel and picked the 'website' option which embeds the object quite nicely
1. add the website tab:
2. I used this embed code in this format for the url- Workbook: 1 Workforce chapter - Public Sector
The result looked like this (below). not sure how you would configure the size, but you could publish up a viz with the size explicitly set.
Hi Martin, thank you! We'll give this a try!
Hi Chrissy - yes it is possible, as shown by Martin. Copy the link from share option and add it in the 'website' tab in MS Teams. If using Tableau Public then the viz will show directly; else if using Tableau Online it will ask for login credentials. You can also setup a SSO through SAML configuration for Tableau Online which will enable the viewing without requiring to sign-in; here are the details: Enable SAML Authentication on a Site - Tableau You will need viewer or explorer licenses for it.
Has anyone worked with the resolutions in teams? I have a dashboard that was developed for a TV in the office. It looks great on the TV but when you go to teams is cuts off a chunk on the right since the teams window is not 1080 due to the other stuff on the screen. I have the resolution set to automatic on the tableau client. It seems to adjust the resolution when viewing from the tableau server but not in teams. The only workaround I have found is to use the expand tab button in teams. This works but ideally I would like it to resize to the default viewable area. I have looked through the embed parameters but haven't found anything.
