Give this a try. Start by creating a calculated field:
// Get a numeric value field to use for sorting.
// -Sales will allow us to sort descending.
CASE [Select Dimension]
WHEN 1 THEN [Order Date (Years)]
Now set up the Dynamic Dimension pill (on the columns shelf) to sort as follows:
That should do it:

For Category and Sub-category, data is sort in descending order by for year it is sorted in ascending?
How to fix that?
That was my understanding of Anthony's request:
Year: Sort Ascending by Year
Category: Sort Descending by Sales
Sub-Category: Sort Descending by Sales
Got it, Thanks
Thanks. This is perfect.
If I were to add "Month" to the dynamic dimension. Would the sorting logic still work?
I've added "Month" to the Select Dimension parameter, but the sorting by date isn't correct.
Is it actually sorting the date correctly or is it based on the sum of the dates?
