if you want to make this process smooth and if possible try to create a process where latest files have same name and older files are archived as per your need. With proper process in place you wont have to do anything just hit refresh.

4. Re: Update and replace source
Amit Narkar Nov 27, 2018 4:12 AM (in response to Simone Montrucchio)I am assuming some system or you are manually creating weekly data snapshots. Lets say you have data files as
DataFile1_week1 , DataFile2_week1, DataFile3_week1
if you are using file names with date/timestamp then you need to update/edit connections.
But if your file Names are exactly same as earlier. Tableau will fetch new data once you just hit refresh. In this case you need not even edit the connection as Tableau know where files are located.

5. Re: Update and replace source
Simone Montrucchio Nov 27, 2018 5:02 AM (in response to Amit Narkar)The problem is that I need to have all the reports and not overwrite them.
So at the end of a period of 2 months I need to have all the 8 reports (with the same template, just different data sources).
