1. Re: How to dynamically change measure names with many values?
arvindgarg Oct 25, 2018 1:27 PM (in response to Carmen Torres)so when you select Basic, you want to see only measures in basic folder. if Geriatric then measures in Geriatric folder.
If so. Then I think, you should create 3 sheets with respective measures and display one of them. Please see below URL.

you have to write a calculation filed like below and place this in the Measure value to see expected result when you select parameter.
Attached workbook for your reference.

3. Re: How to dynamically change measure names with many values?
Carmen Torres Oct 26, 2018 10:21 AM (in response to arvindgarg)I have 2/3 of swapping views working. I followed the link you provided but I cannot get the dashboard to work properly; i.e., when I select the parameter "Basic", the whole dashboard view is displayed correctly. However, if I select "Geriatric" or "Pediatric" parameter, then the dashboard view displays the "Basic" worksheet and the "Geriatric" or Pediatric" worksheet. (The "Basic" view is not removed.) The worksheets of "Geriatric" and "Pediatric" do not take up the entire screen. These two worksheets are not being displayed properly -- the "Basic" view is not being swapped out.
I also verified that all three worksheets reside in the same dashboard container.
Am I missing a step? What should I do to have the views swapped in and out correctly?

5. Re: How to dynamically change measure names with many values?
Carmen Torres Oct 26, 2018 12:46 PM (in response to arvindgarg)I did what you instructed, but it is not working. Below is a screen capture of what is happening when I selected a parameter other than "Basic":
When I select "Geriatric", the "Basic" view remains on the screen and the "Geriatric" view is squeezed in at the bottom of the screen. The "Basic" view is not disappearing so that the "Geriatric" view can be displayed properly. This happens as well if I select "Pediatric". I don't know how to correct this.

Carmen Torres Oct 26, 2018 6:18 PM (in response to Carmen Torres)Arvindgarg,
I've attached a workbook showing the issue that I'm having swapping views. Refer to the "Dashboard 10"; click on age group parameter and select either Geriatric or Pediatric; you will see the dashboard is not being displayed properly (i.e., the worksheets are not being swapped correctly).

7. Re: How to dynamically change measure names with many values?
arvindgarg Oct 26, 2018 6:02 PM (in response to Carmen Torres)If it is working for 2. It should work for 1 as well. Either I will create basic sheet again and see that works.
Can you share this workbook with me? It will be easier to debug.

arvindgarg Oct 26, 2018 7:00 PM (in response to arvindgarg)It is not a packaged workbook. I can not open it.
It is asking for database credentials.

Carmen Torres Oct 28, 2018 11:48 AM (in response to arvindgarg)On my machine, the file "Population by Age.twbx", is classified as Tableau Packaged Workbook. I'm going to reattach the file. If you cannot open this file, can you please provide me with the steps to produce a packaged workbook so that you can access the sheets? Thx.

12. Re: How to dynamically change measure names with many values?
Carmen Torres Oct 30, 2018 8:14 PM (in response to arvindgarg)Arvindgarg,
The attached file is the packaged workbook that has the extracted data source and worksheets/dashboards. You should be able to access the workbook without any authentication issues. (I was able to extract the files from the packaged workbook.)
I don't know why I'm having so much trouble getting Tableau to extract data source to a packaged workbook. I've also been having other issues with Tableau, as well. I'm going to have to ask the administrator to reinstall Tableau on my machine.
Either way, thank you for your patience and time in helping me. Regards.

13. Re: How to dynamically change measure names with many values?
arvindgarg Oct 30, 2018 8:31 PM (in response to Carmen Torres)Problem is on your basic sheet ( age group selected ) filter. you have selected use all option, rather than specifc option in other sheets. So you sould select basic in this case. See the attached file.
