Unable to determine the Average

instead of a average line i am trying to find the average of location by invoice number.

i need it to count the number of different location by invoice number at the Cell level instead of at the invoice level below

i have attached the workbook

Hey Shin,

thanks for your suggestion but this didnt fix my issue. i am trying to get the avg based on location by invoice number at the Cell level. in the imiage its at invoice number level. when i hide the invoice number and just have location it should give me the same average

i tied to create a LOD but getting an error and i dont know how to reword it

Not sure what is the final goal, but LOD should be like this

If this helped, please mark my answer as correct/ helped to close the thread, not from inbox but from original post.

Thanks,

Shin

The goal is to get the average of the total location by invoice number.

same as the aveage line result just in the form of a bar

if i was able to use the forulma noted with " COUNTD(Location)" and was able to change the measurement to a average than it would fix it

if anyone know how to create a LOD that gets the same results as the average line than this would answer the question

thank you everyone

Hi Steven,

Your formula is really close to what you're asking for but instead of an LOD you actually need a table calculation - in this case it's Window_Avg.

WINDOW_AVG(COUNTD([Location]))

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
