# How to plot attribute value change by time based on the hour

I have a set of data which records a count "Ctrlr_Cycle_Cnt" every 10-20 minutes. The count is always incremental. I want to get the average change rate [(cnt2-cnt1) / (timestamp2 - timestamp1)] on the hour. Essentially x-axis will be hours of a day (1-24, 24 bins) and y-axis is the average change rate for every hour. Assuming I take all data into account.

Attached is the workbook

Looks like you need this: Thanks

Maybe I did not make it clear enough. What I meant is to plot the average rate by hour. In other words it is the difference of ctrlr_cycle_cnt between two timestamps that I care about, not the absolute value at each data point.

For example:

Day 1: 10:10 - 100; 10:30 - 200; 10:50 - 350. [rate of 10-11am of day 1] = ((200-100)/20 + (380-200)/20)/2 = 7

Day 2: 10:05 - 400; 10:25 - 560; 10:55 - 860. [rate of 10-11am of day 2] = ((560-400)/20  + (860-560)/30)/2 = 9

so the average rate for hour 10am is (7+9)/2 = 8

I want to plot this for all 24 hours for all the data in the past (around 2 months worth of data).
