Processor : intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM : 8.00
System Type : 64-bit OS.
@Mike Thanks for the reply.
I am already using 2018-2-2 version. I will try Option 2.
Option 2 : "This behavior is caused by a known issue, ID 807662, which causes Setup to improperly interpret the "\u" portion of the domain\username as a Unicode escape. The issue has been corrected in Tableau Server 2018.2.2 and later".
is this mean, i need to change the username or email which i was used to download the desktop version of tableau ?
Issue is resolved. Actually you need to off the firewall and full right to Drive in which tableau server installing.
"full right to drive" means you cannot use the default windows account but need a run as user account when you install?
Yes! In my Case. I think if we run the setup by "Run By Administrator" it will work.
I am facing the same issue Muddasar. I logged in a user who is a local admin to the system and I ran the server installer as Run as Administrator. Can you please elaborate more on how you have given the full rights to the drive where you installed the tableau server and which folders do we need to give the full access. Anyhow, I will turn off the firewall.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Hope everything is good !!!
