Binning data for frequency plot, with multiple properties

I am having trouble finding the proper way to make histograms of my data. There are multiple properties in the file and each sample in the data set can have measurements for each property (not all samples have measurements for all properties). If I focus on a single property, I can get Tableau to produce a histogram by telling it a bin size. But, what I really want is that the bin size be dynamic, as a function of a filter that chooses for which property to make the histogram. One bin size cannot be used for all properties because the measures vary, per property, by orders of magnitude.

With only the Property Value measure on the columns, a distribution plot can be made, like this:

But a histogram, with specified number of bins of dynamic size, would be much more useful.
