# Is calculated field in Column A > Column B?

I have a calculated field as follows:

Result = sum([numerator])/sum([denominator])*100

I have my data arranged in two columns: Pre and Post. There is a numerator, denominator, and calculated result for both pre and post. How can I create a variable to say "Improving" or "Not Improving" depending on whether Pre is < or > than Post?

Can you attach a workbook?

Chris,

Take a look at the attached.  I built a quick calculated field using LOD.

Thanks! Looks good! What if I wanted to use an arrow pointing up or down instead of text for Improvement/No Improvement?

Replace 'Is Improving?' calculated field as follow

{ FIXED [Measure]: IF IFNULL(SUM(IF [Pre Post]='Pre' then [Line Monthly Member Measure Numerator] END)/SUM(if [Pre Post]='Pre' then [Line Monthly Member Measure Denominator] END),0)-IFNULL(SUM(IF [Pre Post]='Post' then [Line Monthly Member Measure Numerator] END)/SUM(if [Pre Post]='Post' then [Line Monthly Member Measure Denominator] END),0) >0 then '▼'

ELSE '▲'

END}
