    Colour scale for filled map

    Stephen Davie

      Hi all.

I'm an amateur with Tableau, I'm afraid I don't do enough of the complicated stuff. I'm hoping there is a solution to this...

I have created a UK regions filled map following a few online tutorials/blogs like this - https://www.theinformationlab.co.uk/2014/12/19/show-filled-map/

I am now wanting to take this one step further and use the color scale for each region, rather than it's own individual color. I have moved Number of Records (from a blended data source) onto the color, but this completely breaks the map.

Is it possible to have a color scale for this type of map? And if so, how would I go about doing it?

I have tried a different way, just using my data set, and grouping the postcodes. But that only covers the postcodes in my data, leaving empty spaces where there is no match. It's not far off, but I would want the whole of the region covered e.g all of Scotland.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
