I have the same problem. To me it occurs if I first set a filter with e.g. no Client chosen and then set a filter with e.g. "Client 123". Some of my sheets on the dashboard then stay blank and in order to see them again I need to click on another sheet/dashboard.
I currently tweak around it by using the apply button for filters so that at no moment a filter is set without any values.
Does someone know why this error message occurs?
I had this start popping up today for me. In my case, I'm doing sheet swapping with a map, and my state map has a filter set up where total(countd([state]))>1 has to be true so that if one state is selected the state map will go blank and a city map will appear.
If I set my date filter to a date where there less than 2 states available, then I get the table array error and the state map goes blank. It appears as though the date filter is causing a condition that the state map filter doesn't expect (total >1 is false without having clicked a state) and it throws the table array error.
The interesting part is that it only does it when I'm working on it in Tableau Desktop. Once I publish it to Tableau Server, I can do the same thing and it just blanks the page out like it should with no error message.
Please contact support so we can get this bug fixed.
Yeah, now that you mention it, I'm using 2018.2 and the server is still running 2018.1, maybe that's the reason.
For me the problem is also occuring since using Tableau Desktop 2018.2
Same thing happening a lot for me. It's very irritating. I've had to disable filters on some sheets so that it wouldn't pop up for clients.
It seems to only happen for me with date filters although I'm sure others have found it in other cases.
Please report this to Tableau Support so they can collect the repro steps and file a bug. I don't see a bug filed for this error message yet.
I submitted a support case including a log-file to Tableau Support and hope to hear back soon.
I have started to get this error using 2018.2 with a dashboard created in 2018.1, I haven't seen the error before so it would appear to be 2018.2 related.

This issue is currently under investigation. See the following link for possible workarounds in the meantime: Unable to Complete Action: Table Arrays Must be of the Same Size | Tableau Software
I ended up saving my dashboards back to v.2018.1. Hope they figure this out soon.
Edit Filter --> Use All.
This should fix your issue.
This occurred to me in the following set up:
- 2 data sources; blended through a relationship on a date field and a boolean field
- Filter is using the boolean field from data source 1
- As soon as I pulled Sheet X onto my dashboard, I got the error message when I switched between true and false values for the filter and the sheet would also disappear
The fix that worked in this case:
- Double checked Sheet X and realized that it used a filter on the Boolean field from datasource 1 and data source 2
- Removed the filter that used the Boolean field from datasource 2 in the sheet which fixed it
This might not be a general solution, but I thought I'd share it in case it helps anyone.
