Hi Rick ,
Didn't Understand this part-My problem is I need to use "Containing" as these 3 url's may include characters after the url. For example /apply-now and /apply-now?cta-5736564w2.
Does URLS are under single column or separate columns?
Do you want to extract certain part of URL or overall URL? - If only certain part what would be string you need to extract
Could you please attach some sample data it will be easy to help
The 3 url's are: apply-now, installment-loan-amount, and /loan-approved. Each of these 3 url's may contain the extra characters. The extra characters creates thousands of url's. I want to incluse all of them in the data as they are all going to the same 3 pages of our funnel.
I want to use the Month as the columns and pageviews as the rows. I want to line chart each of the 3 url's (as rows) for the past year.
The image below uses the wildcard filter Contains /apply-now
Does this help paint a better picture for you?
Hi Rick ,
Create a calculated field like below and name it as URL Grouping:
IF CONTAINS([URL FIELD],'apply-now')
ELSEIF CONTAINS([URL FIELD],'installment-loan-amount')
ELSEIF CONTAINS([URL FIELD],'/loan-approved')
Drag this URL Grouping to COLOR in the above chart which mentioned you will get 3 lines one for each URL
Based on the understanding given the logics
Hope this helps kindly mark this answer as correct or helpful so that it will help others
Quick question. [URL Field] is not defined within the data. Am I supposed to enter something else here?
Which field holds the URLs that field you need give it
Sorry, I am just getting back to you and I wanted to say Thank You for your help!
