Just use "ZN" function in the calculation:
ZN([Asian Total])+ZN([Black Total])+ZN([Other White Total])+ZN([Other/Mixed Total])

Append the calculation with
ZN like below
Total BME
Final View:
ZN because you are using IF Condition false condition giving NULL,
So NULL + anything will give NULL
Hope this helps kindly mark this answer as complete or helpful so that it will help others

3. Re: Calculations within a dimension
Diego Parker Aug 13, 2018 7:30 AM (in response to Naveen B)Hey Naveen!
Thank you so much for your answer. This definitely did the trick for that part!
However, after that when I try to do BME Total/Totals Pivot Table it does the wrong calculation.
For example, in the case of the Borough of Bromley in 2011, the total population (Total Pivot Table) was 311.107 and the BME Population is 65.835, which should give 0.21. However, when I use BME Total/Totals Pivot Table it gives 288 as answer.
What am I doing wrong?
Than you so much again and sorry if my questions are too silly, this is my first Viz.
