You need to Pivot Your Both Dates to Get a Single Date and after that you can use The Single Date Column to Find Open and Closed with in the Selected Range.
Pivot Data from Columns to Rows

Not sure I'm following. I want to have a filter that returns rows that are either created or closed within a certain time frame. From there I can setup count formulas to return the correct values. would this pivot technique do that? If so can you share an example report using a fake dataset?

I wanted to use your data set but it intimidated me as dates are not in proper format, so if you can write dates in your example like 2/15/2018 instead of 2/15 , I can Show you what to do.
Thanks

Samuel Foshay Aug 6, 2018 2:39 PM (in response to Deepak Rai)Since this will create duplicate records I don't think this is what I want. Please let me know if you know of another solution.
