Table join from two different databases: type not matching

For the past couple of days, I have been working with a MySQL server and Tableau to visualize some data on Belgium. The problem now is that I want to join two columns from two tables from two different databases. Unfortunately, Tableau gives me type mismatched error when I combine the two fields. It says that one is a whole number and the other is a decimal.

      What I tried so far:

      • Changing both data types in Tableau: did not work
      • Changing both data types in the MySQL database: did not work

I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion what I can do next. Thanks in advance

      Kind regard
