The reason for not getting desired results is that your data is not blended correctly.
In the screenshot above, the first column is from DMA data source and the second one is from Market. The * usually shows up when one dimension instance occurs multiple times in one of the data sources. I would suggest joining the data instead, preferrably outside Tableau.

What do you mean by Joining the data??
You have blended your data from the 2 datasources. I would suggest to join the two datasources like below instead, or even outside tableau creating a sql view if possible, is a good option.
In your data, one dimension instance (one market name) occurs multiple times in the second datasource (for multiple networks/station names) causing the '*' situation as shown in my previous reply. Behavior of Data Blending is slightly more complicated and is not simply a Left Outer Join in cases like these.
