# How to subtract yesterday's (CNT) value from today's (CNT) value

Hello,

I am simply needing to create a value that subtracts yesterday's value from today's value. I am sure there is a simple calculation to do so, but I can't seem to figure it out. The figures are COUNT figures if that changes anything.

So for example, if today's value is 15 and yesterday's was 19, the equation would need to solve 15 - 19 = -4

This is what I have so far, yet when I try to make the calculation output into label format, it shows up blank:

COUNT([DB Type]) - LOOKUP(COUNT([DB Type]),-1)

Please let me know if you can help. Thanks in advance!

You could use a quick table calc (Difference) or you could use the calculation you've used (above).

BUT .... if you're not getting the right answer it could be because of "compute using" or a few other reasons, but to diagnose we'd need to see the data &/or graph that you're wanting to create.  Can you share your workbook (dummy data only, not legit data) and we can help you more
