# LOD Calculation

Hello All,

I have data that looks like this. There are many buckets that have data with true and false values:

I am trying to add values from Buckets that have 'TRUE' values or 'TRUE and FALSE' values. I don't want to include buckets that have only FALSE values, something like this:

I'm trying to create LOD expressions but haven't had much luck. Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Thanks!

Can you attach a workbook with sample data?

• ###### 2. Re: LOD Calculation

bucket 5 total is 45 and 33,12 for 7 and 8. logic please?/?

• ###### 3. Re: LOD Calculation

Hey Deepak,

I'm adding values that 'true' or 'true and false'. I'm not using the values it if it's just false.

• ###### 4. Re: LOD Calculation

pl explain this and as Anisha Said, Pl attach some fake data

• ###### 5. Re: LOD Calculation

Hey Deepak,

There are 2 headers, true and false.

If the value lies in both true and false I'm adding it. For example if you look at Bucket 6, the true is 16 and false is 2, so the sum is 18.

Bucket 4 has only true values, But I'm also using only true values, so the sum is 43.

For Bucket 7, there is no true - only false, so the sum is 0 because I'm not adding any only false values.

I hope this explanation was more helpful.

But Buckets 7 Total is 33

Anisha,

Do u see the same as I see??.

Deepak

Richa,

why 7 and 8 are 33 and 12

• ###### 8. Re: LOD Calculation

Oh I get it now, my bad. The total for Bucket 7 and 8 should be 0.

• ###### 9. Re: LOD Calculation

Deepak, total for Bucket 7 and 8 should be 0. The ones that are red don't need to be included in my final calculation. I color coded them but forgot to recheck the final number. My bad.

{FIXED Description:SUM(TRUE)+SUM(IF TRUE<>0 THEN FALSE END)}

Try this

Hi Richa,

The solution is following:

1) Create calculated field that mark the required rows for further summing:

IF { FIXED [State]:SUM([Profit])}>10000

THEN 'summed'

END

2) Summing of required rows:

{ FIXED :SUM(

IF [Sum checking]='summed'

THEN [Profit]

END)}

Please find an example attached. The logic is clear so you can amend and apply it based on your needs.

Please mark my response as correct and helpful.

Trust this helps.
