Each has its own utility and limitations,
Like LOD The PROs are You get a New Dimension which can be reused, You can aggregate the aggregate, they are evaluated much earlier in Tableau order of Operations which helps in many cases
Cons are that it breaks in case of data blending, but works better when data is joined

Yes, Thing is if you master them and understand the logic, how they work/, they provide you better options, ofcourse you can't use Table Calculations inside LOD...btw..I am a heavy user of LODs
