Oh, yes. "Who has seen this view is helpful", but being able to see who has seen what at a dashboard/story level, or being able to see all accesses, would be great.
Apologies if this is available somewhere and I haven't seen it....or don't have permissions!
Well how i develop dashboards is by analyzing data first and few root cause analysis before giving data to tableau..
Then comes User requirement after a staging test..
what filters they need/Navigation of the data
Most of the time i deal with issues related to Data pane view
Please provide the tool to manipulate data views..
I hope we shall have another thread for developers who can bring up issues within Tableau
Responding for survey
I worked with the users first to understand their business before start building the dashboard. Then the Analytics team build the dashboard for them. User typically do not build dashboard but we let advance users build worksheets if the dashboard is not exactly what they are looking for.
I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but the lack of response regarding our answers suggests to me we won't ever see a response.
Alyshia Olsen was last on in Aug 2017... so I would suggest folks stop handing over data until we get something concrete.

I do allow my end user to create their own dashboard on tableau web authoring, I generate a standard data extract and publishing it on server with potential data including the tableau calculations and functions,so that they can create new workbook on server to get the insight and theme as they wish.
Also not for all user, We identify the associate who really needed and making this feature available only for them.
I am also a 'designer for hire' within my organization. I would love the opportunity to work with you on workflow. I am trying to organize my requirements gatherings into finding out what kinds of users will use this (public, internal, external). I also chat with them about the design flow - what kinds of users will go through the process of clicking a metric to start their analysis or the county they are interested in for example.
It's a very interesting challenge and I'd love to help building the tool!
I've completed the survey !
Thank you to those that have repsonded to the thread and the survey. I will be reaching out to Alyshia to discuss whether the information is still needed and if she would like to continue this discussion. If not, I will lock down the post per the suggestion from our Forums Ambassagor, Toby Erkson.

Thank you to everyone who filled out the survey.
I'm still receiving survey results, and it's really interesting to read about your workflows.
It sounds like you're all interested in seeing a summary of the data so far, so I've created this workbook on Tableau Public
