LOD question

 Dimension Metrics Total A 4 19 B 2 19 C 3 19 D 6 19 E 3 19 F 1 19 G 3 19 Total 22 19 if Category <> 'G' Then [Metrics]

-------------->

 a Metrics A 4 19 B 2 19 C 3 19 D 6 19 E 3 19

Hello everyone,

So my data is at above 1st table, I want to get the total excluding 'G' value (basically I am expecting 19 not 22)

but when I report, I want to display it like table 2, I will only display value from  A - E, the question is how do I get the total 19 without listing all values and at the same time exclude 'G' from totaling

Thanks and Happy holidays

1. When you add the dimension to the filter to exclude G, you need to add this filter to context.

2. You need to manually hide F and not filter it.

Create the following calculation:

{sum(if [Dimension]<>"G" then [Metrics] end)}

Add dimension to filters shelf and exclude F & G.  Then add Metrics and your new calculation to measure values to obtain the following:

Hi Jessie,

You need to make a LOD expression: Total: { EXCLUDE [Dimension]:SUM([Metrics])}

In sheet 1, Put Metrics to filter and select A-F, but hide F. You will get it.

Thanks,

Michael
