            Hi Jose,

You need to install IBM DB2 driver in your machine and connect as Toby Mentioned way.

Whoa, slow down cowboy, that's not necessarily true.  The DB2 environment my users connect to is pSeries, which is a bit old and uncommon, thus why I had to get the drivers from my dba.  After installing the drivers and placing the licensing file in the proper directory I then have to open the db2cmd.exe command window and execute the following in order for everything to be found (db info changed to protect the innocent ):

db2 catalog tcpip node qadw remote db2udb02 server 51222
db2 catalog db qadw at node qadw authentication server
db2 catalog tcpip node devdw remote db2udb01 server 48000
db2 catalog db devdw at node devdw authentication server
db2 catalog tcpip node prddw remote db2udb04 server 3734
db2 catalog db prddw as prddw at node prddw authentication server
                db2 catalog tcpip node tdb2 remote tdb2.prodplex.org server 5022
db2 catalog db tdb2 at node tdb2 authentication dcs
                db2 catalog dcs db tdb2
                db2 catalog tcpip node pdb2 remote db2.prodplex.org server 5020
db2 catalog db db2 as pdb2 at node pdb2 authentication dcs
                db2 catalog dcs db pdb2
                db2 catalog tcpip node qdb2 remote qdb2.prodplex.org server 5070
db2 catalog db qdb2 at node qdb2 authentication dcs
                db2 catalog dcs db qdb2
db2 catalog system odbc all data sources
                db2 terminate
                db2licm -a "C:\Program Files\IBM\DB2-Connect-11.1.lic"

(By the way, I have no idea what any of this does, I'm just following the instructions from our IBM DB2 dba.)

So this is just a warning that it may be not as simple as other driver installs.  Again, please check with your dba.
