Please use online help. I know admins have a pdf guide that you be able to download from the site, but nothing for desktop.
We are moving away from that era where gathering all the material we need to study, print it, put it in a binder, sit with a marker and pen etc. Just my opinion.

However I wholeheartedly agree that printing the Tableau help is not a good idea.
In the last 12 months Tableau has released 10.0 (Aug 16), 10.1 (Nov 16), 10.2 (Feb 17), 10.3 (May 17). With a minor release cycle of every 3 months, your documentation is going to go out of date pretty quickly. Granted, most of the core of Tableau stays the same across minor releases, but I don't know why you'd limit yourself to a printed, unsearchable copy.

Watch tableau online videos and work on the same.
Once hands on training over then visit tableau community and work in unanswered question and get some knowledge.
