Depending on the specifics, the following may work for you. Bring in an additional data source using the Custom SQL functionality and put your query in there. You could then use the "Set from Field" option in your parameter and select the appropriate field.

Just a precision on Vinnie's clever solution: this is a one-shot trick.
Your list is populated once based on the values retrieved from the query at the time you click on "Set from field" but if a new value appears in your data source it won't be added dynamically to your parameter list (unless you click again on "Set from field" of course).
Yes; vote it up! I've always wished that Tableau had this functionality, basically "set parameter values from field".
