Please attempt to apply the below modification to the session expiry timeout setting to help ease the memory usage of the VizQL process.

Setting the above timeout session will allow for idle connections to the Tableau Server to be closed based upon a set time limit.

Based one Russell's response here, Re: clear session on unload configuration , and here, Re: Why is my VizQLServer memory consumption so high? , this consumption is normal so we need to re-train ourselves as TS Admins that this is normal for Tableau Server. Trying to lower it is not necessary nor helpful to the end users as it has the potential to lower their perceived TS performance (blowing away cache).
Short answer: It's normal, don't worry about it.
