# how to divide a valué between months

Hi, community!

I have a trouble, it seems simple but i don't know how to divide de two values in order to know if the sales by client have increase o decrease.

i attached a simple workbook so if anyone can help me, would be able to use it to explain to me how to do it :)

thanks very much for your time!

Regards,

Luna

Go for a table calc for Saldo like below.

hi Karen,

Just so I'm clear on the question...

Is it the Month on Month variance you are after?

Something like this

or is it something completely different!?

If you let me know I can (hopefully!) show you how.

Coolio...so I'd have suggested the way that Mihai has suggested, using a Quick Table Calculation

Table Calculations are a particular type of calculation (in Tableau) and can run differently, depending on what "compute using" you define. By default Tableau sets this one up a Table (Across)

and as your months run across the top of the page, it calculates it as you want.

Let me know if that doesn't make sense.
