16 Column Limitation Workaround not Working when Downloading Data

    Jan Paulsen

      Hi all,

There is a workaround for the 16 column limitation in Tableau: Expanding beyond 16 columns without header concatenation | Tableau Software

The problem: it does not seem to work when downloading the data. That's my table, 2 rows:

I've published the workbook to Tableau Server. Then I tried to download the data:

And all of a sudden I have 6 rows:

If you clicked on full data it would show only 2 rows (of course, that's not a solution). Please see also the attached workbook.

Does anyone know how to solve this? I am pretty clueless at the moment. Your help would be very much appreciated:)

      Cheers
