Please describe what you're trying to achieve in more detail.
What are the servers? Are they SQL? MySQL?
Do you need to combine data in unions or are you looking to join tables using left/right/full joins?
I have a warehouse management system that is SQL based along with an ERP system that is SQL based.
I would prefer an inner join unless combining data in unions is required.
It is interesting reading up on these fundamental features how you can learn something new such as that trick in converting to custom sql to change the data type
Tom, I still don't see where this is answering the question. I need to link two different SQL servers.
Tell me what it doesn't do that you need it to.
It allows you to JOIN tables across two different sources.
You keep using the word 'link'. Perhaps if you explain in some more detail
what you need I can help, but the article above explains what is possible
within Tableau to join two sourcez (servers).
