I apologize if I am not following your question...
In your web application create an iframe and point the frame to Tableau Server.
Things to think about:
- Clickjacking: Clickjack Protection in Tableau Server
- You should never pass any sensitive information in an URL...like an username
Thanks for your reply. I tried to put the Tableau Server URL in my iframe (https://xyz.com) but it shows empty screen and not the login page, but when i change it to the Views url it is displaying inside the iframe.
When I use the below iframe for the view it is showing in the application"
"<iframe src=""http://xyz/views/Rpa_Dashboard_v2/Dash-Main?:embed=y&:display_count=no&:showShareOptions=true&:showVizHome=no"" width=""1020"" height=""955""></iframe>
But when I use the below iframe to connect to the tableau server it shows empty blank screen inside the frame.
"<iframe src=""http://agiuatdbsw002/?:embed=y&:display_count=no&:showShareOptions=true&:showVizHome=no"" width=""1020"" height=""955""></iframe>"
What is your authentication?
It is AD authentication but it is not even showing the login page.
Please check your server configuration for: wgserver.clickjack_defense.enabled
If you review this url about click jacking: Clickjack Protection in Tableau Server you will notice this section:
- The top-level page from Tableau Server cannot be loaded in <iframe> elements. This includes the sign-in page. One consequence is that you cannot host Tableau Server pages in an application that you create.
From my understanding you need to turn off clickjack protection to embed the sign-in page.
