Here is a quick and dirty example.
Take your logos and add them to a shape folder in the tableau repository. Then assign them to a parameter driven calc. Each report can then be assigned a Logo value and you can swap the sheets with the same parameter.
Thanks Mark but i can't open the file. My version of tableau is 9.3.3
If you install Tableau Public you can download the workbook and opening it, then see what I've done.
The quick version is:
1. Create a parameter to control the dashboard
2. Create a Calc to decode the parameter
3. Assign Shape/Logo to each value on a worksheet
4. Filter the worksheets you want to display using the Calculated field you created
5. Create a Dashboard and place the sheets in a container and hide the titles. Add the logo worksheet and the parameter control
Thanks a lot Mark, wil try and let you know
I did as you recomended :
first I create a parameter:
and then I create a calculated field :
and put that field as a filtr and there is also a filtr on offer_id='700'
the same KPI is calculted but with a filtr on offer_id ='710'
now the problem is whene I select A , the first KPI display and the other is empty :
I would like that the first KPI disappear, any idea please
Thanks in advance
Did you place the two worksheets in a layout container? You may need to set them to "Fit Entire View" as well.
You may need to do a similar trick with the titles. If the titles are on the workbook they will remain there even thought the data is filtered.
Just create a seperate calculation called [EndingBaseTitle] and set it to "Ending Base Title" Place it on a seperate worksheet, with the same filtering and it should disappear like the other worksheet.
Hope this helps
Thanks Mark but i didn't get how to do it
take a look at this video I found. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YzCwsx1I7M
Here is another example: Using parameters - I created a dynamic dashboard that swaps visuals
