# Percentage Chart between 2 dates

Hello Everyone,

I have 2 dates, a start date and the end date( its a project management dashboard in making ) and we have today's date.

I wanted to create a bar chart of the 2 dates where start date is 0% and end date is 100% and wherever our today's date comes, that is the percentage of days left or percent of days which are over.

Example: Jan1 is project start date and Jan 31 is project end date. Supposing today's date is 15 Jan, i want the chart to show that 50% of the month is over .

Any help is appreciated.

Thank You

• ###### 1. Re: Percentage Chart between 2 dates

DATEDIFF('day',[Start Date],[End Date]) will tell you how many days are in the series.

DATEDIFF('day',[whatever day you want to examine],[End Date]) will tell you the difference between those dates.  You can do all your math from there.

Can you post a sample workbook even with dummy data but with the same structure as what you have ?

• ###### 3. Re: Percentage Chart between 2 dates

And you can get today's date with the built-in function:   TODAY()
