windows 2012 R2 and yes running installer as an administrator. If i install in C: drive it went well without any issues and it configured
Yes, we've seen something like this before but I'm struggling to find a good writeup.
It is related to [lack of] permissions on non-Windows drive as you said.
If I remember correctly you'd need to give Users a "Create files / write data" permission on D: drive.
