Since this is a very complicated view and comes from the brain of Noah Salvaterra - I'm going to mention him and see if he has any feedback. Also note that he covered this and other interesting views in this Think Data Thursday - TDT: I didn't know that was Tablossible - August 27, 2015
Nick - if you haven't watched the video, you might be interested in watching it through.
If I recall correctly there is a column in the data where the order is defined. I originally thought to do this programmatically, but if too many small slices are close together it creates a labeling problem (which you may be seeing). Let me know if this sorts your problem out, if not I'll crack open your workbook and have a look. What Tableau version are you running? Also, would you mind attaching the csv with your data as well, I may need to tinker with that a bit.
Noah, This would be a complete home run if you could help me out.
I can do dendrograms, intergrate d3js into Tableau, etc. But, this is pretty much tripping me up. It's been like my pet project forever...just cant get it haha
So, I have attached the CSV and the Dashboard. It pretty much shows the association between companies. Like if someone buys Company A 70% of the time they will buy Company B.
Thanks a ton! This is really the coolest viz ive seen in Tableau.
