Can you tell me expected result..
The results for 'Actual' should correspond to the sheet titled 'Actual (ytd july-16)'. I did the same for the budget figures under the tab 'budget (ytd july-16)' so that I can validate that my Data Blending sheet is giving me the correct values.
Thank you for taking the time to check my workbook.
Appreciate the reply but the data shown is still incorrect. Wish it was the right answer but all the values are wrong. As you can see the values are overstayed and repeat the same value for each of the month.
For example: Boleto Aero (Airfare) shows each month values for Actual at $49,660. For the month of January it should actually be $1,313 which can be validated in the tab sheet 'actual ytd July-16).
Thanks hopefully someone can help me figure this one out.
I found the issue. Your relationships are not properly defined.
I got around this the "easy" way by doing the following:
1. In the Actual data source create a calculated field (Analysis>Create Calculated field)
2. Call the field DATE(Calc). Notice that it is precisely the same as your Date field in the Budget Data Source.
3. Enter the calculation [Date]
4. Data> Edit relationships and select Automatic.
5. Select the relationship link so that it turns orange for the DATE(Calc) field.
This should fix it.
Thank you for your response. I tried following your instructions but did not get the correct values. I may have done something wrong while trying to follow your steps. I am attaching the workbook updated with the steps you have suggested.
Could you please check it if you have a chance to see if I followed your instructions correctly?
Just looked at your revised workbook.
Everything looks good for me. Can you point out an example of something that you think is wrong that is not showing as expected.
Thank you Luciano! Your attached workbook is correct!
Appreciate your help and to everyone else who helped me out as well!!
Sorry, I must have not attached my workbook with your instructions in my reply. I checked my workbook and it looks like your screenshot. I was still getting the incorrect totals for "Actual" in the year to date total through 7 months. In your example, the grand total for Actual, variable "Boleto Aerero" the total amount returned was $39,405 when it should be $11,143.
It appears I must have done something wrong in my Filters as Luciano had mentioned. His workbook returned the correct answer.
I appreciate all the help!!!

Dario, you were right about the date fields used on data blend. Check what i did on them.
You are right. I had not notice the changes made to the date fields. Thanks for all your insight and help!
