So I went with Option 2 on the link you provided. On the worksheet in question I want to filter I right clicked on the Customer Name, and applied to all worksheets using this datasource.
Then, from the first dashboard, I clicked on a Customer Name, but it did not filter the data in the worksheet. Keep in mind this is the setup
Dashboard 1 -> Worksheet 1 -> Click Customer Name
Expected behavior would be Dashboard 2 -> Worksheet 2 -> Customer Name shows based on what I clicked from Dashboard 1
I decided to create a sample workbook for you. This is for me to possibly recreate
SO we have 2 dashboards, Dashboard 1 and Dashboard 2, you can click on the names on the
dashboard 1 and still filter the viz on the side, If you want to filter the 2nd Dashboard, you can
use the filter as seen on the screenshot attached.
Let me know if it works for you.
Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the example.
Is this the only solution? I'd like to be able to filter from my selection on dashboard 1 without having to have the user click again to filter on dashboard 2.
maybe there are other solutions but this is the only one that I know that can help you so far.
I'll let you know if I found out some other way.
